The owner has selected a General Contractor. A timeline for construction was not yet been established. Orlando Sanford International Airport (SFB) is requesting qualifications from General Contractors, Registered and Licensed in the State of Florida, to provide general construction services based on the needs of the Authority. These services will include new construction, renovations, repairs, and additions as well as associated work to include limited design services and permitting. The term of this contract will be for a period of three (3) years with two (2) one (1) year options of renewal. Qualified General Contractors should have at least ten (10) years of professional experience, have worked with other airports of similar size and complexity as the Sanford Airport Authority, have extensive experience in commercial construction, and be in close proximity (on-site at the airport within 2 hours after being notified) allowing for emergency response if needed. Question Deadline 11/07/2024 The project can generally be described: The intent of this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is to select General Contractor Construction Firm(s) to provide services for the construction of various Authority projects which are Licensed per Chapter 489, Florida Statutes; to be Selected per Florida Consultants Competitive Negotiation Act, Section 287.055 Florida Statutes. It is anticipated that the contract(s) will be awarded for an initial three (3) year term from the date of award by the Sanford Airport Authority with up to two (2) additional one (1) year renewal periods.
