Site work for a civil project in Victoria, British Columbia. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The works and requirements under this Contract generally include, but are not limited to, the following. 1.Highland Fernwood Water Treatment Plant: a) Identify, list and follow all relevant specification, regulation and codes of practice for the following: b) Investigate and design a new safety railing to replace existing chain at loading area of the treatment plant. c) The new safety rail shall be removable in order to allow for use of the loading area. Design with a height not less than standards as per BCBC 2024 or the latest. d) Submit design and/or drawings to CRD for review and approval. e) Supply and Installation of new H20 load rated safety rail. f) Ensure the compliance with Building Code (BCBC 2024), WorkSafe BC regulations. g) Tidy up and make good any disturbances to ground or structure on public or private property 2. Fernwood Reservoir a) Identify, list, and follow all relevant specification, regulation and codes of practice for the following: b) Investigate and design new access ladder with adequate bracing and roof top guardrails. c) Submit design and/or drawings to CRD for review and approval. d) Remove the existing roof access ladder and guardrails. e) Supply and Install Ladder, and Guardrails around the perimeter of the reservoir’s roof, according to Building Code (BCBC 2024) and latest OHS Standards and regulations. f) Provide any and all required scaffolding necessary to perform work. Erect scaffolding independent of walls. Construct, maintain and use scaffolding in accordance with CAN/CSA-S269.2M. g) Provide any and all required hoisting equipment for removal of existing structure and placing of materials and equipment during construction. h) Ensure compliance with all the regulations regarding welding and cutting or any operations that generate sparks, flames, smoke and heat. i) Tidy up and make good any disturbances to ground or structure on public or private property. 3. Fulford Water Treatment Pump Station: a) Identify, record and follow all relevant specification, regulation and codes of practice for the following: b) Investigate and design safety guardrails around the working platform of Fulford Water System Pump Station at Sunnyside Dr. c) Submit design and/or drawings to CRD for review and approval. d) Supply and Install guardrails around the perimeter of working platform according to Building Code (BCBC 2024) and latest OHS Standards and regulations. e) Ensure compliance with all the regulations regarding welding and cutting or any operations that generate sparks, flames, smoke and heat. f) Tidy up and make good any disturbances to ground or structure on public or private property. 4.1 Salt Spring Island Multi Space Facility (in conjunction with item 4.2 below): a) Identify, record and follow all relevant specification, regulation and codes of practice for the following: b) Investigate and design safety guardrails at the first-floor roof level close to northeast entrance. c) The new safety rail shall be permanent in order to safely work on the roof edges, Design with a height not less than standards as per BCBC 2024or the latest. d) Submit design and/or drawings to CRD for review and approval. e) Apply for Building Permit; submit design and drawings to CRD SSI Building Inspection Team, fees, attend to any follow up building permit requirements provide correspondence and documentation as required to issue of permit. Display Building Permit onsite. f) Supply and Installation of new H20 load rated safety rail. g) Ensure the compliance with Building Code (BCBC 2024), WorkSafe BC regulations. h) Tidy up and make good any disturbances to ground or structure on public or private property. 4.2 Salt Spring Island Multi Space Facility (in conjunction with item 4.1 above): a) Identify, record and follow all relevant specification, regulation and codes of practice for the following: b) Investigate, design and construct a new permanent access ladder assembly with adequate bracing and top of roof guardrails. c) Design a suitable and safe roof access assembly to Second-floor level integrating with the current roof of firstfloor by creating a platform for the ladder to rest on first floor level and connecting the far end of ladder to second-floor level roof guardrails. d) Submit design and/or drawings to CRD for review and approval. e) Apply for Building Permit; submit design and drawings to CRD SSI Building Inspection Team, fees, attend to any follow up building permit requirements provide correspondence and documentation as required to issue of permit. Display Building Permit onsite. f) Supply and Install Ladder assembly for existing roof ladder and Guardrails around the ladder roof area on second floor level according to Building Code (BCBC 2024) and latest OHS Standards and regulations. g) Provide all required scaffolding necessary to perform work. Erect scaffolding independent of walls.
