Little Rock Statehouse Convention Center Plaza Fountain Renovations, Little Rock, Arkansas. Renovation of existing outdoor water feature at the Civic Plaza adjacent Robinson Auditorium to include a new lighted double sloping canopy and pavers on pedestals in fountain basin. All bidders shall make inspection and studies of the site of the work to familiarize themselves with all conditions to be encountered. Contractors Licensing Law for Contractors. All contractors must be licensed on the day of the bid submittal. According to the Arkansas Contractor's Licensing Board, this project will require a contractor's license. There shall be only one bid submitted per State Contractors license. Bidders will be required to indicate license number on bid form beneath signature when bidding $20,000.00or more. Bid security is required in the form of a Bid Bond or cashier's check drawn upon a bank or trust company doing business in Arkansas, in an amount equal to 5% of the contract sum, and payable to the Little Rock Convention and Visitors Bureau. Arkansas Statutory Performance and Payment Bond, equal to the amount of the Contract, will be required of the bidder awarded the Contract. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 45 days after the opening of bids. The Commission reserves the right to waive informalities, reject any or all bids and to accept the bid deemed to serve the best interest of the Little Rock Advertising and Promotion Commission. Base Bid: Having carefully examined the Contract Documents for this project, as well as the premises and all conditions affecting the proposed project, the undersigned proposes to provide all labor, materials, services, and equipment necessary for, or incidental to, the completion of the project in accordance with the Contract Documents within the time set forth, for the lump sum base bid of: $ __________________________________________________________________________ Dollar Amount Is to Be Shown Numerically 1. Deductive Alternate #1: Remove all proposed water feature equipment, piping, bubblers and their lighting fixtures from scope of work. Add a $20,000 allowance for gravel fill, dirt, plant material and irrigation, in lieu of water feature items, to be installed at the portion of pond without pavers. Use existing pipe penetration for irrigation tie-in to existing system below. $: _________________________ 2. Deductive Alternate #2: Remove 13 of the small-diameter can lights shown on the canopy reflected ceiling plan, for 39 remaining fixtures. (Architect will issue revise placement plan as needed.) Secondly, remove all ground-mounted uplighting at pavers from scope of work. $: _________________________ 3. Deductive Alternate #3: Change four canopy structural columns, located behind the foursided IPE screening wall, from circular-profile stainless-steel structural columns to squareprofile steel structural columns primed and field painted.
