Renovation of a municipal facility in Allen, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The city of Allen is seeking to renovate the Reception Desk Security Improvements as we bring in a new cubicle system. This will involve, carpet, painting, fire sprinklers, and mechanical systems. Fire Sprinklers: Fire Sprinklers to be adjusted from existing design to provide proper coverage in the cube replacement area (Yellow) on spec sheet. Fire Alarms: Adjust Fire Alarms as required to meet code. Electrical: Provide Home Run to the electrical panel(room 322) for DIRTT modular electrical boxes located above ceiling in Room 307. Carpet Spec: Exact tiles to be identified, use 10290 Thought Modular Tiles by PatcraftDream00540 Carpet Tiled laid at 90 degrees from previous tile as the basis of design as a not to exceed amount. Paint: Sherwin Williams Eggshell, Pure White SW7005 & Network Grey SW7073. Baseboards to match existing. Furniture: removal of all furniture from area 307 to basement. Removal and replacement as needed for all other furniture to allow for installation of new carpet tile. HVAC: Adjust HVAC supply and return to accommodate the new cubes in area 307. Process: Provide construction timeline and how to minimize the downtime for the city in the work area. NOTICE OF AWARD (ANTICIPATED) November 25th, 2024 The City reserves the right to evaluate each proposal on a separate and individual basis, to invite selected firms to make personal presentations to staff. The City further reserves the right to reject any and all proposals submitted, or accept a proposal deemed most advantageous to the City. LIQUIDATED DAMAGES Bidders should be aware that the city of Allen expects timely completion of the contract within the timeframe indicated by the bidder in their bid. Consequently, bidders should be aware that the following schedule will be applied by the City as liquidated damages for each day the project is delayed in completion: Amount of Contract ($) Value of a Calendar Day ($) Less than 25,000 100 per day 25,000 to 99,999.99 160 per day 100,000 to 999,999.99 240 per day 1,000,000 to 1,999,999.99 500 per day 2,000,000 to 2,999,999.99 1,000 per day 3,000,000 to 3,999,999.99 1,500 per day More than 4,000,000.00 2,000 per day The City of Allen reserves the right to award a vendor bid as an "alternate award". The alternate vendor's bid shall remain in effect for the term of the awarded contract, should the primary vendor become unable or unwilling to complete the contract term. The alternate vendor will be notified in writing of their official contract and start date. All terms and conditions of the original bid will remain in effect.
