Site work, paving, outdoor lighting and new construction of a mixed-use development in Griffin, Georgia. Completed plans call for the construction of a playground / park / athletic field; for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; for outdoor lighting for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
Ambucs Park The project consists of upgrading an existing youth sports facility which includes baseball fields, a gymnasium, pavilions, and other facilities. The five (5) baseball fields will be regraded and upgraded with new sod and infield baseline material. The gymnasium will be upgraded and will have a new ADA access ramp. The Ambucs Park improvement plan includes new walkways, bleachers, batting cages, bullpens, dugouts, lighting and other miscellaneous accessories throughout the park. The stormwater piping system will be replaced and expanded. Seven (7) new parking spaces with curb and gutter and asphalt paving are included in the project. Volunteer Park The project consists of upgrading an existing youth sports facility which has two (2) football fields and four (4) softball fields. The football fields will be regraded in place and the remainder of the facility will be reconfigured with three (3) softball fields and one (1) training field. New buildings will consist of a concession building and a combination restroom/concession building. The Volunteer Park improvement plan includes new walkways, bleachers, batting cages, bullpens, dugouts, lighting and other miscellaneous accessories throughout the park. Contractor questions regarding the bid should be directed to Jason Graham via email at jagraham@pcgeng.com. All questions must be submitted in writing. The last day for contractor questions is 12:00 PM, local time Wednesday, November 13, 2024. The time allowed for Substantial Completion is 335 days, and the time allowed for completion and readiness for final payment is 365 days from the date of commencement. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond completed on the attached Bid Bond Form with good and sufficient surety or sureties approved by the owner for faithful acceptance of the contract, payable to, in favor of, and for the protection of the OWNER in an amount equivalent to five (5%) of the total amount payable by the terms of the contract, in lieu thereof, in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or cash in equal amount. Performance and Payment Bonds, each in an amount at least equal to 110 percent of the contract amount, and a Certification of Insurance will be required. A Certification of Insurance will be required from the low bidder prior to award of the Contract. All Bids will remain subject to acceptance for ninety days after the day of the Bid opening, but OWNER may, in its sole discretion, release any Bid and return the Bid security prior to that date. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive formalities and re-advertise. ***Document Note: Digital versions of the Bidding Documents/Project Manual may be obtained for a non-refundable payment of $75.00. Bidder shall also provide a letter from the Surety Company verifying the Bidder has the bonding capacity as outlined for the project and that the Surety Company will bond projects for Contractor as outlined in the specifications. The OWNER is not obligated to consider a Bidder's proposal if Bidder is not on record with the Issuing Office as having received complete Bidding Documents/Project Manual from the Issuing Office.
