The Town of Cheraw is accepting sealed bids for the re-roofing of the Cheraw Fire Department. This includes removal, make any necessary repairs, install synthetic underlayment, new architectural shingles, and a continuous ridge vent. Project Location: 12 Chesterfield Highway, Cheraw, SC 29520. Contractor bids should include all materials (shingles, underlayment, nails, eave starter, ridge vent, sealant, flashing, etc. to complete the job), labor, cleanup, and debris removal. Bids must also include a $5,000 contingency to cover unanticipated issues discovered during the course of construction. Any prospective bidder who is aggrieved in connection with this solicitation may protest to the Town of Cheraw in accordance with the Town's procurement policy, within seven (7) business days of the issuance of the Notice of Intent to Award. A Notice of Intent to Award will be issued after all bids have been reviewed by relevant parties. A copy of the Notice of Intent to Award will be emailed to all bidders and will be posted on the bulletin board in the Cheraw Town Hall, located at 200 Market Street. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope to the above address. Bids will be accepted until the due date and time. Bids received after the due date and time will be returned to the bidder unopened. Bids must be marked with the contractor's name, address, and titled "Cheraw Fire Department Roof Replacement". An addendum, if any, will be issued no later than 5PM Wednesday, November 13th, 2024. Prospective bidders must acknowledge the receipt of the addendum in their bid packet. Addendum will be posted on the owners website at online. This solicitation does not commit the Town of Cheraw to award any contract or to pay costs incurred in the preparation of a submitted. The Town retains the sole right to reject, cancel in part, or in its entirety any bid received as part of this solicitation if it is determined to be in the best interest of the Town of Cheraw to do so. This project is being funded in whole or in part by the United States Department of Agriculture - Rural Development, under the Community Facilities Program.
