Renovation of a road / highway in New York, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a road / highway.

This project is to provide services material and equipment to replace a defective boiler. The vendor shall provide all labor and materials necessary to complete the work in a professional manner according to scope of work and architectural drawings if supplied. Work is to be completed within 30 days of award, unless modified below. This is a NYS Public Works project and prevailing wages are to be paid. Refer to attached specification for the following scope of work. Site must be cleaned and all materials secured at the end of each work day. Absolutely no scraps, especially fasteners, are to be left unsecured. Upon completion of the replacement of the boiler, and before removal of equipment, the contractor is to schedule a quality control and quality assurance inspection with the Plant Superintendent. includes, but is not necessarily limited to the following: 1. To provide labor and equipment to remove existing natural gas fired steam boiler. Below are specifications of the old boiler: Boiler Model GSA - 300 Serial number: 1 Input: 299,000 Btu/Hr. C.S.A Gross duty output: 247,000 Btu/Hr. Net AHRI Output: Steam ---- 185 MBH Steam ---- 770 Sq. Ft. MAWP Steam: 15 PSI Min. Relief valve capacity: 247 Lb/Hr Replace the existing boiler with a similar natural gas fired steam boiler. The contractor will be required to supply and install the new boiler and make connections to existing chimney, steam lines, return lines etc. It is expected that the work will be done according to industry standards so as to satisfy the manufactures' warranty and the building codes of New York City and State. Minority Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 30% Women Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 7% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business Contracting Goal: 6% Any vendor questions not asked during the site visit must be submitted in writing to: Brooklyn.CMM.Bids@opwdd.ny.gov (within two business days of the site visit: November 1, 2024). Both questions and answers (if any) will be provided to all who attend the site visit via email by: November 6, 2024.
