Inspection and Maintenance of Fire Extinguishers and Kitchen Hood Systems for Troup County Government Facilities. Any questions or requests for additional information must be submitted to Ramona Gillham, Purchasing Director, at rgillham@troupcountyga.gov no later than 5:00 pm, Thursday, November 7, 2024. The contractor shall furnish and deliver as required, services for inspection and maintenance of various types of fire extinguishers throughout Troup County. Inspection and service of several kitchen hood systems is also required. 1. Annual Inspection & Tagging. The bidder shall provide an annual inspection of several types of fire extinguishers in accordance with the then-current National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Standards. The inspections shall be coordinated with the individual Troup County departments. Each fire extinguisher shall be inspected, maintained and tagged to insure Troup County is in full compliance with all current Federal, State, County and Local standards, codes and ordinances. 2. Recharge of Extinguishers. The bidder shall provide, as determined during annual inspection, recharge services as necessary for each type of fire extinguisher. The recharge of extinguishers shall be in accordance with the then-current NFPA Standards. 3. Hydro-testing. The bidder shall provide as required, periodic hydro-testing for fire extinguishers. The hydro-testing shall be at the appropriate time interval determined by and in accordance with the then-current NFPA Standards. Troup County reserves the right to accept/reject any or all bids or make any decision deemed to be in the best interest of the county.
