Bids are being solicited by the City of Dearborn Purchasing Division on behalf of the Dearborn Housing Commission (DHC) to invite businesses that meet the qualifications set forth herein to submit bids for the underpass repairs at Sisson Manor and Kennedy Plaza. There is an estimated 1720 sq ft of area per building. The underpass is 25ft wide x 57ft long. The height ranges from 8.7ft to 10.11ft. It is recommended that interested parties visit the site to verify condition and measurements before placing a bid. The scope of work for the assigned project above required for the repair of the Sisson Manor and Kennedy Plaza overhang shall include, but not be limited to, the following major areas: 1. Site mobilization will include the setup of safety barriers and equipment. 2. Surface preparation is to include sanding, cleaning, priming of overhang 3. Repair structural damage, patch cracks, caulk where needed, and replace any damaged sections of soffits, walls, and columns (inside only). 4. Two coats of paint of Sherwin Williams Paint - Emerald Exterior Flat - Gossamer Veil SW 9165. Remove, patch and paint any non-permanent plumbing access panels. 5. Final clean-up is to include removal of debris and the equipment from work area. Contractor is to notify the Facility Coordinator of the completion of work and conduct a final walk through. 6. Any additional repairs or finishing work required. A Change Order is required if additional repairs arise. PRE-BID MEETING: A pre-bid meeting concerning this ITB may be held. If so, the date, time and location will be indicated on the cover of this ITB. Staff will be available at this meeting to answer questions about this ITB. Attendance at the meeting is strongly encouraged. The DHC reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to accept or reject any bid in part, and to waive any minor informality or irregularity in bids received if it is determined by the Purchasing Agent that the best interest of the DHC will be served by doing so.
