All work associated with this contract shall be completed by October 15, 2025. The active construction period within Main Street shall be restricted to 60 calendar days, excluding any approved periods of work shut down. The Base Bid includes the complete replacement of existing traffic signal system with new traffic signal equipment, including upgrades to concrete sidewalk and granite curb within the intersection area to accommodate pedestrian crossing, as well as stripping modifications. The new traffic signal equipment includes, but is not limited to, mast arms, pedestal poles, foundations, signal heads with backplates, video detection, emergency pre-emption, pedestrian countdown heads with push buttons, signage, ATC control cabinet with foundation, junction boxes and conduit. The project also includes traffic signal coordination with existing traffic signals located at Main Street - Water Street (Saco) and Main Street - Water Street (Biddeford). In addition, the existing traffic signal controller at Main Street - Water Street (Saco) shall be replaced with an ATC controller A certified check or bank draft payable to the OWNER or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and a Surety Company in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the base bid shall be submitted with each bid.
