Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a mixed-use development in Worthington, Minnesota. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility; for the addition of a parking garage; for the demolition of a parking garage; and for site work for a parking garage.
War Memorial Building Renovation Project Identification: Prairie Justice Center Staff Renovation and Garage Addition Project Location: Nobles County Administrators Office 315 10th Street Worthington, Minnesota The Work includes, but not limited to: selective demolition, metal stud framing and drywall, doors, flooring, ceilings, casework, acoustical panels and painting. Work also includes fire protection, plumbing, HVAC and electrical. Bids will be presented to the County Board at the next succeeding regular Board meeting, all in accordance with Board policy. All bids shall be made in accordance with forms and specifications attached to and made a part of the proposed contract documents. Inquiries should be sent nhazard@kochhazard.com. Bids and contracts shall be made in accordance with and subject To Minnesota Statutes and the provisions set forth in the specifications. The County Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids or parts thereof, and to waive any irregularities. Each bid that exceeds $5,000 must contain a Certified Check, a Cashier's Check or Draft for five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid, (including "add" alternates), such Check or Draft to be certified or issued by either a State or National Bank, and payable to Nobles County, or, in lieu thereof, a Bid Bond for ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid, such Bond to be issued by a surety authorized to do business in this state and payable to Nobles County. Said Certified Check, Cashier's Check, Draft or Bid Bond guarantees the execution of a contract and shall be held by Nobles County until said contract is executed. The successful bidder shall be required to provide a contract performance bond and a payment bond in the penal amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price in a form approved by Nobles County, dated and executed the same date as the contract documents to comply with statutory requirements, in accordance with Minnesota Statutes. Any proposals in the mail prior to the time set, but not received prior to such time shall be returned unopened. Proposals must be sealed and the following shall be plainly marked on the envelope face: Bidders Name Bidders Address Proposal for : War Memorial Building Renovation Nobles County Worthington, MN To Be Received : Nobles County Administrator 315 10th Street, 3rd Floor Worthington, MN 56187 Should the Contractor fail to substantially complete the work within the time set forth herein or within such extra time as may have been allowed by increases in the contract time or by formally approved extensions granted by the Owner, the Contractor and the Contractor ís surety shall be liable for and shall pay the Owner $300.00 per calendar day as liquidated damages for each calendar day of delay until the work is substantially complete.
