Eastside Roof Projects Bids are invited for work as follows as well as all related miscellaneous work: The City of High Point is seeking a qualified contractor to provide all materials, labor, and equipment for the roof replacement projects for two separate buildings at the Eastside Wastewater Treatment Plant, the old administration building, and the residuals office building. All miscellaneous work related to the above. Quantities and major work items are more thoroughly described herein. General contractors are notified that "An Act to regulate the Practice of General Contractors", Section 87-1 through 15, ratified by the General Assembly of North Carolina, on March 10, 1925, and as subsequently amended will be observed in receiving and awarding general contracts. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, as may in the judgment of the City, serve its best interest and the City further reserves the right to waive irregularities and informalities in any bid submitted. In accordance with the Federal "Americans with Disabilities Act" (the Act), the City of High Point will not discriminate against individuals, and will not do business with vendors who discriminate against such individuals in violation of the Act. The City of High Point is actively seeking proposals from qualified and experienced vendor(s) to provide all materials, labor, and equipment for the roof replacement project for the Eastside Wastewater Treatment Plant Incinerator office building located at the 5898 Riverdale Drive, Jamestown, NC 27282. The award contractor will: Obtain all necessary permits and perform work in compliance with all state, local and all OSHA safety guidelines All work areas to be staged to minimize intrusion of tenant's daily activities Remove and legally dispose of existing roof system (including edge metal) to the concrete deck Install R15 poly iso roof insulation adhered to concrete with low rise foam Install (per manufacturer's specifications) white, reinforced, fully adhered, 60 mil thick, TPO roof membrane system manufactured by Elevate (or equivalent) Install required flashings for all existing roof penetrations Fabricate and install new 24-gauge prefinished perimeter edge metal, coping and counterflashing Provide a minimum Manufacturer's 20-year system and Contractor's 3-year workmanship warranty upon completion Replace all drains with materials comparable to existing drains
