Aquatic Resources Education Center Cleaning Contract The Contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, tools, materials, equipment, transportation, and enterprise-specific management necessary to successfully complete the required tasks. The Government of the District of Columbia, Office of Contracting and Procurement, on behalf of the Department of Energy & Environment (DOEE or the Agency), seeks a contractor (the Contractor) to perform routine and regular cleaning and janitorial services every week, including but not exclusively, male and female indoor restrooms, mopping floors, cleaning surfaces, recycling, and trash removal. These services are needed at the Aquatic Resources Education Center (AREC or the Center), the Agency's multi-use education and aquaculture center in Anacostia Park. Square footage is detailed in Section 3.0. The result of these services is a clean, user-friendly, and inviting public facility. The period of this contract will be Oct.1, 2024-September 30, 2025. The Agency's mission is to protect and enhance human health and the environment through preservation, conservation, restoration, education, enforcement, and energyefficient practices to improve the quality of life in the District of Columbia. In accordance with the mission, DOEE's Fisheries and Wildlife Division undertakes several fisheries and education efforts, many of which occur at the AREC. The building has two indoor restrooms, one (1) male and one (1) female. The Center also features two (2) classrooms, two (2) general-use areas, one (1) office, one (1) break room, and one (1) laboratory. Square footage is detailed in Section 3.0. All these areas require routine and regular cleaning, including trash removal, to maintain an attractive, clean, and user-friendly environment. For this reason, DOEE has an immediate need for routine and regular comprehensive cleaning and janitorial services to be conducted weekly at the Aquatic Resources Education Center.
