The City of East Ridge is accepting bids for the replacement of the roof of the City Hall Complex; specifically, the portion of the roof covering the Municipal Library and comprising approximately 4,560 square feet. Bidders are encouraged to visit the site and take their own measurements. SUMMARY OF WORK The following specifications represent the scope of work to be completed and represent the minimum standards accepted for this work: o Mobilize to job site and set up equipment, barricades, flagging and safety per OSHA requirements. o Roof assemblies and rooftop structures per the 2018 International Building Code requirements chapter 15 (reroofing). o Remove the top layer of EPDM rubber, 1/2 inch cover board and bottom layer of EPDM rubber roofing, and the base layer of Polyiso insulation. o If deteriorated decking is found replace it at unit cost. o Attach 2.5 inch Polyiso insulation, bringing roof R-value up to R-40. o Install .060 TPO membrane roof utilizing induction welding. o Flash penetrations and up, over walls. o Run the membrane up the sides and under the wall cap. o Fabricate and install from standard colors, 24 gage edge metal, scuppers and counterflashing. o Roof replacement to be white in color. o Provide 20-year manufacture warranty against leaks, covering labor and materials. The City of East Ridge reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive technicalities therein, and to award the bid in the City's best interest.
