The Work includes, but is not necessarily limited to, excavating the settled material around the existing manhole and replacing with slurry backfill, replacing any asphalt or concrete and reset the ring and collar. The work includes all required labor, material, incidentals, transportation, traffic control, and services required for the project to complete a usable and operable facility in accordance with all pertinent codes and regulations as necessary to complete the job in a workmanlike manner as shown on the Construction and Bid Documents. This work shall take place citywide at various locations within the City of Show Low, Arizona, 85901. The City of Show Low reserves the right to modify the Scope of Work and to reject any and all bids not deemed in the best interest of the City. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents are to be directed to Engineer. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed, faxed, e-mailed, ar delivered to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. At each identified sunken manhole, the following scops of work includes: Excavate and remove material around the sinking manhole (not to exceed 10' in diameter from center of manhole) . Depth of excavation will be 8' or to top of bedding/shading of pipe. Compact subgrade material. Install 2-sack slurry backfill as fill for the excavation. Install asphalt patch - 3:i Minimum Asphalt over slurry bass > J .. . Install Concrete Collar for ring and cover per City of Show Low Std Dtl 8-01. 8-02. and S-06. Include all required traffic control required at the manhole to perform the repair. Include all required mobilization of equipment and materials to the site to perform the repair. Pistes - Due to construction being done during winter months, the coordination of steel plate locations prior to a snow storm is important. The contractor will be asked to limit the amount of plates prior to a snow event, cone the comers of the plates, and provide the city with a map of each plate location for snow removal work. Ring ^nd Collar replacement repair scope of work: Excavate to remove the manhole ring and cover and concrete collar. Adjust new ring and cover to required grade. Install Concrete Collar for ring and cover per City of Show Lew Std Dtl SOI. S-02, and S-08. Include all required traffic control required at the manhole to perform the repair.
