Renovation of a municipal facility in Hudson, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Estimated Cost $25,000. The Town of Hudson - Division of Recreation is currently soliciting quotes to have the existing roof of the Rimkus Clubhouse, located at Riverside Park in Hudson MA replaced. Job location address: 120 Chapin Road, Hudson MA 01749.The Town wishes to secure a firm to complete this work as soon as possible and by no later than December 31, 2024. This is a Prevailing Wage Job and will require a written contract between the Town of Hudson and the awardee. While not required, interested contractors/firms may visit the site upon request and with advance notice, by appointment only (as building is currently being used by high school athletic program). SCOPE OF WORK: Tarp sides of building and grounds for debris. Remove all roofing materials from building down to wood decking. Note: One end of hip roof was done in September of 2023. This section to remain. Re-nail existing plywood as needed in order to provide a smooth, secure substrate. Replace bad wood decking with 3/4 " ledger board or plywood (material type, per customer). Install Certainteed Winterguard Ice & Water Shield on bottom 6' at eaves, 3' in valleys, 18" at roof to wall connections, chimney and around all roof penetrations. Install Certainteed Roof Runner synthetic paper over remaining roof areas. Install 8" white vented metal drip edge on eaves and rakes. Install Certainteed Sure Start starter course on eaves and rakes. Install Certainteed Landmark Pro Cobblestone Grey Lifetime Architectural shingle over roof area, to match previously replaced roof section. Install new ridge vent on all peaks (cut ridge vent 1" on either side of ridge if needed). Install new Certainteed hip and ridge caps. Replace all pipe boots. Chimneys: Grind out old lead flashing, install ice and water shield up the sides of the chimney, install step flashing, new lead and re-mortar joints. Clean gutters (if applicable) and grounds of all debris. Dispose of all debris and worksite waste appropriately. Use high powered magnet to pick up nails from ground surrounding building (area under dumpster should be checked for debris/nails after dumpster is removed). Additional Notes: -Building permit cost is $0.00 (Town Project, fee waiver will be applied). -Per MGL c 149 (Building Construction Contracts) projects that cost more than $10K but less than $50K require: OSHA Training for all those on worksite and 50% payment bond (if contract is greater than $25,000).
