Refurbishment of guardhouses, windows and air conditioning at Manoir Verdun The aim of the project is to upgrade the air conditioning, ventilation and on-call call system in the care units of the Centre d'hebergement Manoir de Verdun, a category 2 building. The works will cover all 12 floors of the building, and are planned in several phases (by floor, starting with the upper levels), to ensure that the building can be lived in by its occupants. TIMELINE: Request for proposals for mechanical and electrical engineering services to conduct construction surveillance is underway. Reference number: 20026145. Deadline for receipt of complaints: 2024-11-04. Electronic tender submission accepted: Yes, via SEAO, with a document. Work is currently underway and has reached 77% completion. The 12th to 6th floors have been delivered with reservations, and work on the roof has been completed. The 2nd to 5th floors remain to be handed over, along with a few one-off interventions on the ground floor. Other ad hoc work on the 12th, 11th and 10th floors will be carried out towards the end of the project. An inspection for contaminants (asbestos, mould, lead, etc.) is being carried out by an environmental specialist. The owners are seeking the services of an electromechanical engineering firm to oversee the remaining work and monitor change requests. This will be done in accordance with the plans and specifications to be provided by the CIUSSS, while ensuring that the initial direction of the project is respected.
