Connecticut Lead Services (CLS) was hired by A&E Services Group, LLC to test interior and exterior painted components at the subject site for the presence oflead-based paint. A full risk assessment will follow (dust wipes and soil sampling) ifLBP is identified during the inspection. Testing is done with an x-ray fluorescence device (XRF) that reads through all layers ofpaint. Representative surfaces are tested on a room by-room basis. Dave Mattei and Brian Santos were granted access to the subject site by the owner on September 3, 2024. The site was a 1,680ft2 single-family home built in 1924. The exterior had vinyl siding with a mix ofwood and vinyl windows throughout. LBP was identified during the inspection therefore a full risk assessment was performed. We interviewed the homeowner to gather information on how the house was used and which rooms the children spent most oftheir time in. Eight (8) dust samples and two (2) field blanks were taken as well as one (1) composite soil sample from the dripline ofthe house. The site was found to be in good condition and receiving adequate housekeeping. There were no children under the age ofsix living at this location at the time ofthe inspection.
