The Base Bid consists of roadway improvements along Oak Grove Road from approximately 230 Oak Grove Road to Croton Road C.R. 579. The work includes hot mix asphalt profile milling, full depth pavement repair, hot mix asphalt surface course, upgrading of existing grates, and striping. The following outline of the scope of work for this project is intended as a supplement to the General Instructions and Conditions included in the Construction Plans and Details. The work contemplated includes, but is not limited to the following: 1. The installation of maintenance and protection of traffic as specified and/or directed by the Engineer. 2. Clearing site as described in the project drawings. 3. The repair and retrofitting of existing stormwater structures. 4. Repair/ Restoration of asphalt pavement areas. 5. Roadway resurfacing. 6. Profile milling of hot mix asphalt pavement areas in front of driveways and inlets. 7. The grading, stabilization, and restoration of areas adjacent to the work area disturbed by the Contractor's operations. 8. Any other work of any type or description necessary for the completion of the project, whether or not specifically shown on the plans or specifications herein. SE All work on this contract must be completed within thirty (30) calendar days from issuance of a Notice to Proceed. a certified check drawn to the order of Township of Franklin for not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount bid, except that the check shall not exceed $20,000.00. The successful bidder is hereby notified that a performance bond and labor and material (payment) bond for the full amount of this project is required. The award of the Contract for this project will not be made until the necessary funds have been provided by the Owner in a lawful manner.
