Renovation of a multi-residential development in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.

The City of Cambridge invites qualified [sponsors/owners] of multi-family affordable housing ("Proposers") to respond to this Request for Proposals (RFP) for the Cambridge PV Equipment Reimbursement Program for 100% Affordable Housing. Question Submission Deadline: October 30, 2024, 11:00am PREFERRED CRITERIA The City is prioritizing funding under the Program to benefit residents and operators of deeply affordable housing. The City is also prioritizing funding under this program to entities who have extensive PV experience and can identify multiple eligible solar-ready locations. More specifically, proposers who meet the following additional preferred criteria will be considered Highly Advantageous: o Are owners or sponsors of at least two fully-affordable affordable multi-family rental housing developments which serve predominantly low-, very-low, and extremely-low income tenants o Have a demonstrated track record of successfully installing and maintaining solar arrays on three or more existing residential developments o Have identified on Exhibit A fully affordable residential buildings containing an aggregate of at least 300 units serving predominantly low-, very-low, and extremelylow income tenants SCOPE OF SERVICES o Proposers will be expected to complete all activities related to the selection, design, competitive purchase and installation of photovoltaic equipment at preapproved locations. o Upon receipt of acceptable evidence of successful completion of installation, the City will reimburse grantee for the cost of the equipment if the equipment meets or exceeds the following standards: o Modules: All modules should be manufactured by a Tier 1 provider. Minimum warranty: 12-year product, 25-year production. o Inverters/Optimizers: All projects must be MA code-compliant, including rapid shut down. Equipment combinations with different manufacturers should be avoided. Minimum warranty: 12 years. o Racking: any racking that meets structural requirements and is appropriate for the installation type as determined by the designer.
