Kangiqsualujjuaq Arena Renovation Project - Phase 2: Phase 2a - repairs related to the fire damage, reconstruction of the front entrance and front rooms of the arena with a new layout; Phase 2b - includes general maintenance of the building, renovating the ice rink area, and adding new changing rooms. TIMELINE: Request for proposals for project management ( PM) services to monitor construction work is cancelled. Reference number: 20025863. PM provides overall project management leadership for developing, executing and implementing the projects. Phase 2 is currently being designed by KRG’s Consultant architects and combines two projects with separate funding sources into a unified effort. i.e. managed as one project as the associated activities occur simultaneously. Phase 2a focuses on repairs related to the fire damage, with costs covered by the Northern Village (NV) and reimbursed by insurance. Key tasks include reconstructing the front entrance and front rooms of the arena with a new layout. This work should be paid by the NV and reimbursed by insurance. Kativik Regional. Phase 2b involves a long-planned renovation and expansion project funded by Quebec's "Financial Assistance Program for Recreational and Sports Infrastructures" (PAFIRS). This phase includes general maintenance of the building, renovating the ice rink area, and adding new changing rooms. Phase 2b work should be paid by the KRG and reimbursed by the PAFIRS funding in majority. Further update in early 2025.
