LOCATION AND DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT The City of College Station invites qualified contractors to submit bids for the replacement of the residence's HVAC system and water heater, as well as minor replacement and repair work of painting, concrete, siding and trim, plumbing, electrical, drywall, doors, and cabinetry. Questions and inquiries about this bid should be submitted in writing via the Q&A feature available online via The deadline for submitting written requests for clarification is Tuesday, May 6, 2025, @ 2:00 PM. CT. Bidders must submit with their bid, a Cashier's Check or a Certified Check in the amount of five (5%) percent of the maximum amount of Bid Price payable without recourse to the City of College Station, Texas, or a Bidder's surety bond in the same amount from a surety company holding permit from the State of Texas to act as a surety, as a guarantee that Bidder will enter into a contract and execute bond and guarantee forms within fifteen (15) days after notice of award of contract. No other form of bid security will be accepted. If a bid is submitted electronically, the Bidder shall submit a PDF (or other electronic format) of the original hard copy of the bid bond with their bid. Bidders should request an ink seal from their surety or shade over the embossed seal with a pencil prior to scanning to allow for the seal to be visible to the City. Copies of Cashier's Checks or Certified Checks are not acceptable for electronic bid submissions. If a hard copy of the bid is submitted, the Bidder shall cause the original hard copy of the bid bond, Cashier's Check or Certified Check to be enclosed with the bid. Bids without checks, as stated above, or acceptable bid bond will not be considered. Bid Security shall be in effect from the opening of the bid and will be retained until a Bidder has executed the Construction Agreement and furnished the required contract security or more than ninety (90) calendar days from the date of opening of the bid have lapsed.
