Clarification Deadline 11/1/2024 2:00 PM Successful Contractor(s) will be able to provide on-call sanitary sewer utility repair services of City’s sixteen inch and smaller diameter sanitary sewers and laterals in the City of Waterbury Sewer repair work may include: o Sanitary sewer main or lateral repairs. o Additional work necessary for completion of repairs such as dewatering, bypass pumping and other associated work. o Bituminous concrete trench repair per City and CONNDOT specifications. The agreement period for any contract or purchase order resulting from this RFP is anticipated to be execution of contract through December 31, 2027 (i.e, at the end of Contract Year (3). Additionally, there are two (2) one year option periods, each at the sole discretion of the City. Option Year (1) shall be from January 1, 2028, thru December 31, 2028. Option Year (2) shall be from January 1, 2029, thru December 31, 2029. The City shall give notice to the Successful Proposer by July 1, 2027 of its intention to extend the contract through Option Year (1) and by July 1, 2028 of its intention to extend the contract for Option Year (2). Each Proposal with a total cost greater than $50,000.00 submitted shall be accompanied by a Proposal Security (a Certified Check or Bid Bond) in the amount of ten (10) percent of the Total Proposal Price. The Proposer to whom a contract is offered, must furnish to the City, if that contract has a total cost greater than $50,000.00, a 100 percent Performance Bond with a surety, and in a form, acceptable to the City. In the City's sole discretion, it may also require a 100 percent Payment Bond and/or other additional security with a surety, and in a form, acceptable to the City.
