Generally, the Work covered by the Plans and Specifications for Storm Sewer District 121 consists of the materials, labor, tools, and equipment required for the construction of storm sewer improvements and the reconstruction of the roadways crossing the Puppy Dog Coulee system. The Work includes approximately 1,680 LF of double 12'x8' box culvert, 826 LF of storm sewer, 1,000 LF of sanitary sewer, 140 LF of water main. The Work shall also include the removal and replacement of approximately 4,250 LF of curb & gutter, 3,800 Ton of asphalt pavement, and other incidentals as necessary to complete the project. All work shall be substantially complete by July 31, 2026. All work shall be completed and ready for final payment in accordance with the General Conditions by October 2, 2026. Should the Contractor fail to complete its obligations under the Contract within the time required herein or within such extra time as may have been granted by formal extensions of time approved by the Owner, there will be deducted from any amount due to the Contractor the sum of $5,000 per day for each and every calendar day that the completion of the Work is delayed. Each bid must be accompanied by a separate envelope containing the contractor's license and bid security. The bid security must be in a sum equal to five percent of the full amount of th e bid and must be in the form of a bidder's bond. The Owner reserves the right to hold all Bids for 60 days, to reject any or all Bids, to waive any informality or irregularity in any Bid, to accept the Bid deemed in the best interest of the Owner, and to rebid the project until a satisfactory bid is received.
