Renovation of a water / sewer project in Westminster, Maryland. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
Issuing Agency City of Westminster Procurement Officer / Buyer Diane HOLLASCH Email dhollasch@westminstermd.gov Bids are requested for evaluation and replacement of existing AC units located on the roof of the City's Administrative Offices Building at 45 W. Main Street, Westminster, MD. and the Cranberry Water Treatment Plant at 401 Lucabaugh Mill Road Westminster, MD Phase I. The work at the City Administration Offices Building will consist of the following: 1. Evaluation of thermostat locations and air distribution balance of the existing HVAC system. Provide evaluation report and recommendations. 2. Removal and disposal of two (2) existing roof top units: a. Carrier Model #50TCD28A2G5A2BOAO, Serial #4010U28664 and b. Trane Model #RAUJC50FBA130BD000000, Serial #C09KO2958; The current system is to be replaced in kind with Trane and equivalent. The 50-ton Unit must be replaced together with air handler including VFD and line sets. 3. Installation of new thermostats. 4. Testing and air distribution balance of the new HVAC system to the manufacturer's standard. Phase II. The work at the Cranberry Water Treatment Plant will consist of the following: 1 Remove and dispose of the existing 27.5-ton rooftop unit according to EPA requirements. 2 Clean the existing curb and install new gasket material to seal properly. 3 Provide a new York International AV 28N 27.5-ton Gas Electric Rooftop Unit or equal in the same location to match the existing unit size. 4 Provide new Economizer and Curb Adapter. 5 Provide and install all power wiring, natural gas piping and the thermostat wiring. 6 Upgrade the thermostat control for the new 27.5-ton unit and all other existing thermostat controls in the Building. 7 Provide start up, testing and air distribution balance of new unit. The new units shall have at least 5 years of compressor manufacturer's warranty and one year's labor and material warranty from installer. The Mayor and Common Council of Westminster ("the City") requests bids (hereinafter, a "Bid" or "Proposal") for HVAC Units Evaluation and Replacement for 45 W. Main Street and Cranberry Water Treatment Plant in accordance with the attached Contract documents. All Bids are to be accompanied by a bid bond in the amount of 10% of the Bid. A sample bid bond format is provided as part of this Request for Bids. All blanks on each form submitted in connection with the Request for Bids must be filled in, and no change shall be made to the items described in the form. All Bids must be signed in ink by the Bidder, with signature in full. Bids must be good for ninety (90) days. This Request for Bids will be placed on the City website. Any bid addenda will be posted on the City website. Prospective bidders who have questions regarding this Request for Bids should email their questions to Bids@westminstermd.gov. The closing time for submission of questions is 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday November 20, 2024. All questions and the associated answers will be posted on the City website. To receive notification that information regarding this Request for Bids has been posted to the City website, bidders are encouraged to register with the City by providing their firm name, name of firm representative, and email address for the firm's point of contact to: Bids@westminstermd.gov
