The Killeen Independent School District is accepting proposals for routine grounds maintenance at various campuses in the district. Grounds maintenance includes but not limited to routine tree trimmings, pulling weeds, maintaining flower beds, replacing mulch in flower beds and mowing the non-athletic grounds at high school campuses. This contract will be effective on or around December 5, 2024 through December 4, 2025 and may be renewed for four (4) additional years in one (1) year increments, providing that both parties are in agreement. KISD, may at its sole option, extend this bid for an additional sixty (60) days from the date of expiration, under the same pricing and terms and conditions if it is determined by the district that additional time is required to avoid a contract lapse. Contract is also dependent upon availability of funding. The District, through its duly authorized constituted officials, reserves the right to accept any offer in its entirety or in part, any offer deemed most advantageous to the Killeen Independent School District and to waive any formalities in bidding. Contact between vendors and District personnel during the proposal process or evaluation process is prohibited. Any attempt by vendors during the proposal process to contact District personnel may result in disqualification. All communication shall go through the Purchasing Office during this process. All questions received and the corresponding answers will be distributed to all bidders via the electronic bid system. No verbal responses will be provided.
