The purpose of this RFP is to establish a competitive contract to provide routine and emergency elevator maintenance as well as monthly and annual inspections at twenty-eight (28) addresses within the Plano Independent School District (Plano ISD). This includes, but is not limited to, all materials, parts, tools, and labor required to maintain thirty-eight (38) elevators, and twenty (22) wheelchair lifts. (For the purpose of the term throughout the remainder of this RFP, "elevator" will also include wheelchair lifts). Other related services and materials to fulfill the needs of the schools and various departments of PISD may be required on an "As Needed" basis. This proposal is being issued in accordance with Title 2 of the Code of Federal Regulations (2 CFR) Part 200 requirements to procure vendors who provide goods and/or services purchased by Plano ISD using federal dollars. This proposal may be used with local, state, federal and grant funded programs. The estimated expenditure for this district-wide contract is approximately $200,000 annually. However, this estimate should not be construed to be a guarantee of either minimum or maximum since usage is dependent upon actual needs and available funding. This estimate may be exceeded by 25% annually. TERM: The initial term of this RFP will be for one (1) year from date of award. This contract, unless terminated early, will automatically renew for four (4) additional one (1) year periods. Plano ISD has the option to extend this RFP at the end of the performance period for up to 120 days if determined to be in the best interest of the district to ensure availability of products and/or services. The Proposer must be an established Elevator Maintenance Contractor, registered as an elevator contractor with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, who maintains a trained staff and certified inspectors to provide service and replacement parts and EITHER a service provider that has the depth, breadth and quality of resources necessary to complete all phases of elevator service, elevator equipment upgrades, repairs, and new elevator Installations OR is currently engaged in this type of business for a minimum of five (5) years.
