Site work for a water / sewer project in Douglas, Alabama. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Douglas Water Authority Office for furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment and doing the work of constructing, according to Plans, Specifications and Contract Documents on file in the office of the Owner, the improvements hereinafter described. The work of the Douglas Water Tank No. 9 Tank Coating and Repairs will be let under one Contract. The principal items of work are detailed herein below: Principal Work: Clean and Coat Interior and Exterior and make repairs of the following Tank: Tank No. 9 Ground Tank 54 Feet Diameter, 88 Feet Tall, 1,500,000 Gallon Capacity. Liquidated Damages Will Be Assessed if the Contract Time is Exceeded. The Contractor May Apply for an Extension of Time in Accordance With the Provisions of the Contract; However, Such an Extension Must Be Approved Prior to the Contract Completion Date to Avoid the Imposition of Liquidated Damages. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
