Renovation of an educational facility in Accomac, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 104,398-square-foot educational facility.

Estimated cost is $5,000,000 to $6,000,000. No bid may be withdrawn after the closing time for the receipt ofbids for a period of 60 days except as expressly provided for and outlined under the Code of Virginia. Accomack County Public Schools will receive sealed bids in duplicate for Accomack CO PS Adaptive Reuse on November 21, 2024, at 2:00 PM. Sealed bids will be received by the Owner at the School Board Office, P.O. Box 330, 23296 Courthouse Avenue, Accomac, Virginia 23301 in accordance with the statutory provisions ofthe Code of Virginia, Accomack County Public Schools policy, and the General Conditions and Instructions to Bidders. Bids will be opened virtually at that time and all bidders will be given a ZOOM link to participate in the live bid opening. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids when such rejection is in the interest ofthe Owner and to reject the bid or bidder who is not able to perform the contract. The Owner also reserves the right to waive any and all technical defects in the execution of any formalities in the submission of any bid. SCOPE OF WORK Furnish all material, labor, equipment, and supervision required for the renovation and adaptive reuse ofthe existing Accomac Primary School in strict accordance with the contract drawings and specifications prepared by Dills Architects. Renovate the existing Accomac Primary School for Accomack County Public Schools to house the School Board and School Administrative Staff. The original one-story brick building was constructed in or around 1932 and contains approximately 19,000 square feet. The building was last occupied as a primary school in 2001 and is currently being used for storage and is partially vacant. The building is located at 23163 Courthouse Ave, Accomac, VA 23001. No interpretation of the meaning of the plans, specifications or other portion of the contract documents will be made orally.
