Site work and paving for a civil project in Mackenzie, British Columbia. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
BC Timber sales intends to rehabilitate in-block roads as per best management practices for managing Caribou in the Mackenzie Forest District. 31.52 ha have been proposed for this contract for road rehabilitation and deactivation of forest roads. In addition other work treatments specified in Schedule C may be identified during the contract and could be included into Schedule B1- Treatment Blocks. Road rehabilitation work includes but not limited to water management, deactivation of road systems which includes culvert and bridge removal, see Schedule C for list of treatment specifications. The winning contractor will be responsible for removing all road structures and transporting structures to the Mackenzie, BC Bridge Sort Yard. Roads are scheduled to be planted in 2026 field season. A work progress plan must be developed to ensure work is completed in time for scheduled planting activities. Blocks with timing constraints are listed in the Schedule C and B1 - Treatment Blocks Schedule. The location of sites shown on the SP26TGE001 Overview map. All sites are located within Mackenzie District. The locations of each site are shown on the access maps included with the tender package. Site viewing is optional, however, its is highly recommended Bidders view the field sites prior to submitting their bid. Documents can be obtained from www.bcbid.gov.bc.ca
