The Town of Brookline currently owns, operates, and maintains two prominently located parking lots on Centre Street near its intersection with Beacon Street, which have direct access to the Harvard Street commercial corridor through a series of pedestrian walkways as well as two driveways. Regional access to the Site is facilitated via the MBTA Green Line Coolidge Corner Station, approximately a one-minute walk southeastward from the Study Area. The Town is interested in evaluating whether and how the Site should be used into the future for parking, as well as for other public uses complementary to Coolidge Corner and the Brookline community at large This Request for Proposals carries a budget of $225,000. This study is funded by the American Rescue Plan Act and funds must be fully committed in December 2024 via an executed written contract, and fully exhausted by December 31, 2026, but preferably by September 2026. Proposals may be held open for a period of one hundred and twenty (120) days from the Proposal due date unless award is made sooner or the time for award is extended by consent of all parties concerned.
