City of Adrian is soliciting proposals from qualified professionals to provide all services for the complete abatement and disposal of all asbestos containing materials from five (5) buildings located at 133-213 N Winter St., Adrian, MI 49221 as outlined in the DMD Environmental, Inc survey, (Attached). NOTE: Survey includesthe following language: "May remain in place during standard knockdown/haul-away demolition, however if grinding of concrete is to occur - material must be removed first." All asbestos affected materials regardless of the above statement, are to be removed/abated in accordance with Federal, State, County and City law. The selected professional will be responsible forthe safetyand securityofthe work site and must follow all Federal, State, County, and City laws and regulations and provide documentation of proper disposal in a permitted asbestos disposalsite or permitted landfill to the City of Adrian. Professional must provide all regulatory agencies including the Lenawee County Health Department and City of Adrian notification of asbestos abatement activities ten (10) working days prior to commencement of demolition activities. Successful bidder will enter into contract for this work within 30 calendar days after award of bid and will start work within 90 calendar days after signing of the contract and will complete within 120 calendar days. The City of Adrian reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities, and to accept bids which do not conform in every respect to the bidding requirements.
