The work includes, but is not limited to, installation of approximately 5,300 feet of 8-inch HPDE water main by directional drill, including installation of hydrants, valves and water services lines. The project also includes installation of a package chlorination, meter and PRV vault/enclosure and connection to the existing 30-inch SCWA water main on NYS Route 67. The Project start date will be on or about February 1, 2025. The Project shall be substantially completed on or before July 1, 2025. The Project shall be completed on or before July 15, 2025. Bids will be received for a Single Prime Contract. Bids will be received on an itemized unit price basis. Bids should not include sales and compensating use taxes on materials incorporated into the work. Bids actually received by mail or by hand after the appointed time on the date specified shall be rejected, notwithstanding that such Bid may have been placed in a mail box or other mail receptacle regularly maintained by the United States Postal Service before such time, and ordinarily in sufficient time to have been delivered on time. Bid security in the amount of 5% of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond and a payment bond, each in the amount equal to 100% of the contract price.Bidders on this work will be required to comply with the President's Executive Orders No. 11246 and No. 11375, which pertain to nondiscrimination in employment. The requirements for Bidders and Contractors under these orders are explained in the Bidding and Contract Documents. The Town of Malta reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in the Bids received, or to reject any or all Bids without explanation. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect.
