Renovation of an educational facility in Peterborough, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

The Science Complex at Trent University, constructed in 1968, serves as a vital research and teaching facility. It houses various laboratories, classrooms, offices, and a lecture theater. The building features a podium roof in the southwest quadrant, which facilitates pedestrian access to other parts of the university. Over the years, structural issues have emerged, including cracks in the block partition and concrete walls on the ground floor, particularly around Room 133 and the Lecture Theater. A 2014 report attributed these issues to movement in the podium slab combined with slight settlement. Recent assessments have recommended further investigation and repairs to address these concerns. This Request for Tender (the RFT) is an invitation by Trent University (the University) to prospective Bidders to submit bids for Engineering Assessment and Design for Champlain College South Roof and Lady Eaton College, as further described in Section A of the RFT Particulars (Appendix D) (the Deliverables).
