Renovation of a municipal facility in Columbia, South Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
*The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project. If you are an interested contractor and wish to be listed as a bidder, please notify our editorial staff at addtobidlist@constructconnect.com. The Contractor shall provide all resources to remove two (2) VFDs, supply and install two (2) new VFDs with speed reference controllers brand names or equal to MODEL # ACS550-U2-316A-4. The new VFDs must fit within same space as current VFDs. State Fire prefers direct replacement of the old VFDs. If a direct replacement is no longer available, then a suitable replacement may be used if the replacement drives have at a minimum the same capabilities as the VFD being replaced but must fit into the same existing space as the removed VFDs. This system must remain in an operable state during all times (one (1) pump and its associated VFD should be on at all times). Desired pressure to be maintained should be between 125 - 140gpm. If there are any concerns with keeping one pump operable for any reason (safety concerns, etc.), this must be brought to the attention of the owner and a reasonable solution will be decided upon between the Contractor and owner before the project begins. The Contractor shall: 1. Remove input wiring, output wiring and control wiring from existing VFDs as necessary. 2. Install new VFDS and reattach existing wiring systems (high and low voltage) to VFDs (input, output, and control). 3. Alter any conduit and fittings to allow same circuitry to be attached to new VFDs. 4. Provide a factory start up and programing of the drive immediately after installation to verify proper operation. The system must produce between 125 - 140gpm. 5. Provide owner training after new VFDs are installed, started, and tested for proper operation. 6. Provide at least one-year parts and labor warranty. 7. Provide any salvageable components from the two removed VFDs to State Fire.
