The sealed bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 15, 2024, at said office.. Bids are invited for the New Coated, Bolted Ground Storage Tank At Existing Buckner's Creek Water Plant Project as described in the specifications, including new water lines, tie-ins, boring, meters, and associated appurtenances. A bid bond in the amount of 5% of the bid, issued by an acceptable surety, shall be submitted with each bid. A certified check or bank draft payable to the Fayette Water Supply Corporation or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the federally determined Department of Labor prevailing wage rates for Fayette County, Texas contained in the contract documents, must be paid on this project. In addition, the successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, age or national origin. The Corporation reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities & informalities in the bidding. Project shall be completed by May 30, 2025. Basis of award will be to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder who provides goods or services using the following criteria: the proposal price; the historical quality of the bidder's goods or services; and the bidder's past responsible performance, safety and working relationship with the corporation and other entities.
