Site work and renovation of a water / sewer project in Fargo, North Dakota. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

The Work is comprised of two (2) Contracts: Contract No. 1 General Construction and Contract No. 2 - Electrical Construction. Individual bids will be received for each Contract as well as Contract No. 3 - Combined General and Electrical Construction which is a combined bid for Contracts No. 1 and 2. The Owner will not accept a combined bid unless that bid is lower than the combined total of the lowest and best bids for the separate contracts. The Work for each Contract is generally described as follows: Question Deadline 11/11/2024 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing, Questions received less than ten (10) days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered Contract No. 1: General Construction: Work generally consists of providing and performing temporary bypass pumping; removal of existing wet well top section; furnishing and installing new wetwell top section with all required appurtenances; removal two (2) existing check valves; installation of two (2) Owner provided check valves; removal of two (2) plug valves; furnishing and installation of two (2) new plug valves; preparation and recoating of ductile iron process pipe; preparation and installation of a corrosion resistant lining system within wet well structure; removal of two (2) submersible pumps; furnishing and installing two (2) new submersible pumps; and all associated appurtenances and fittings as indicated in the Drawings and Specifications; restoration; signage, seeding; and incidentals. Contract No. 2: Electrical Construction: Work generally consists of removal of existing control panel; furnishing and installing one (1) new control panel; removal of existing magnetic flow meter; furnishing and installation of one (1) magnetic flow meter; furnishing and installation of one (1) new generator; and associated control systems, incidentals, and appurtenances as indicated in the Drawings and Specifications. Contract No. 3: Combined General and Electrical Construction: Work general consists of the Work described under Contract No. 1 - General Construction and Contract No. 2 - Electrical Construction. The work for each contract must be completed no later than the following: Utility Power Substantial Completion: May 31, 2025 Generator Power Substantial Completion: October 1, 2025 Final Completion: October 31, 2025 Bid security: Must be in a sum equal to five percent (5%) of the full amount of the bid and must be in the form of a bidder's bond. A bidder's bond must be executed by the bidder as principal and by a surety, conditioned that if the principal's bid is accepted and the contract awarded to the principal, the principal, within ten (10) days after the notice of award, shall execute a contract in accordance with the terms of the bid and the bid bond and any condition of the governing body. All Bids will be made on the basis of cash payment for such work. The Board of City Commissioners of the City of Fargo, North Dakota, reserves the right to hold all bids for a period of sixty (60) days after the first day fixed for the opening of the bids, and the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any formalities.
