The project work for the Southern Montgomery County Municipal Utility District includes the relocation of approximately 441 LF of new water line. Question Deadline 11/08/2024 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents must be submitted to the Engineer in writing at least five (5) days prior to the opening of bids. This section describes the project in general and provides an overview of the extent of the work to be performed by the CONTRACTOR. Detailed requirements and extent of work is stated in the applicable Specification sections and shown on the Plans. CONTRACTOR shall, except as otherwise specifically stated herein or in any applicable part of these Contract Documents, provide and pay for all labor, materials, equipment, tools, construction equipment, and other facilities and services necessary for proper execution, testing, and completion of the work Any part or item of the work which is reasonably implied or normally required to make each installation satisfactorily operable shall be performed by the CONTRACTOR and the expense thereof shall be included in the applicable unit prices or lump sum prices bid for the work. It is the intent of these Specifications to provide the OWNER with the complete operable systems, subsystems, and other items of work. All miscellaneous appurtenances and other items of work that are incidental to meeting the intent of these Specifications shall be considered as having been included in the applicable unit prices or lump sum prices bid for the work even though these appurtenances and items may not be specifically called for in the Specifications. 1. Install approximately 450 linear feet of waterline including valves, fire hydrants, and appurtenances by trenchless construction. Reconnect water service lines to existing water meters. Contractor is responsible for maintaining water service lines for the duration of the project, except during transfer of service. Contractor is responsible for maintaining driveway access to residents. Site restoration includes the restoration of general landscaping items, irrigation lines, roadside ditches, PVC yard piping, damage to existing asphalt streets or other structures. Site restoration includes all other general items that not specifically listed as pay items. Block sodding will be used to restore grass in front of residential properties. Hydromulch seeding will be used, as needed, to fill in other disturbed areas. Contractor should preserve as many trees and shrubs as possible. Wooden mailboxes shall be temporarily relocated and re-installed following construction, as needed for the Work. Street signs shall be temporarily relocated and re-installed, if in conflict with Work. Contractor is responsible for coordinating with private utility companies (pipelines, AT&T, CenterPoint, etc.) as needed to complete the Project.
