Renovation of a mixed-use development in Iowa City, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

The project consists of installation of Security Cameras within select areas at City High School, Tate High School, West High School, Alexander Elementary School, Borlaug Elementary School, Coralville Central Elementary School, Garner Elementary School, Grant Elementary School, Hoover Elementary School, Horn Elementary School, Kirkwood Elementary School, Lemme Elementary School, Lincoln Elementary School, Longfellow Elementary School, Lucas Elementary School, Mann Elementary School, North Central Junior High, Northwest Junior High, Penn Elementary School, Shimek Elementary School, Southeast Junior High, Twain Elementary School, Van Allen Elementary School, Weber Elementary, Wickham Elementary School and Wood Elementary School. The security cameras are network devices and the project includes new network cables to support the security cameras. Bids will be received for a single contract including all work as specified. Bid security in the amount of five percent of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The successful bidder shall be required to provide performance and payment Bonds, each in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract Price within ten days after receipt of Notice of Award. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) calendar days after the date of opening. Iowa City Community School District reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive irregularities and to accept that bid which is deemed in the best interest of the Owner. Document Note: No deposit is required, but all bidders are asked to return their Bidding Documents to Design Engineers, P.C. 8801 Prairie View Lane SW, Suite 200, Cedar Rapids, IA 52404 within (15) days after opening of bids. Question Deadline 11/15/2024 Submit all questions to the Design Professional, in writing. Replies will be issued to all prime bidders of record as addenda to the documents and will become part of the contract. The Design Professional and Owner will not be responsible for oral clarification. Questions received less than four (4) days before bid opening cannot be answered.
