Renovation of a multi-residential development in Jerseyville, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.
Work shall include removal and replacement of exterior finishes, partial window replacement at the recreation building and associated components at the Jersey Homes Apartments complex. This project is to be bid under one prime contract for all trades. LOCATION: Jersey Homes Apts. Jerseyville, Illinois. All bidders shall submit and enclose with their bid completed copies of the Bid Bond, Affidavit of Prime Bidder, Contractor Certification/Contract Clause, Statement of Bidder's Construction Experience, HUD-5369-A "Representations, Certifications, and Other Statements of Bidders" and HUD-2530 "Previous Participation Certification". Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in the form of a certified check, bank draft, U.S. Government Bonds or bid bond secured by a surety company acceptable to the U.S. Government and authorized to do business in the State of Illinois, in the amount of 5% of the base bid, payable to the Housing Authority of the County of Jersey, Jerseyville, Illinois 62052. A Performance Bond and Payment Bond will be required of the bidder to whom a contract is awarded. Contractors submitting proposals shall complete them in accordance with the schedule in Instructions to Bidders for Contracts. When the word Owner occurs in the Contract Documents, it shall apply to the Housing Authority of the County of Jersey, Jerseyville, Illinois, or its authorized representative. When the word Contractor occurs, it shall apply to any firm or individual having a direct contract with the Owner. When the word Subcontractor occurs, it shall apply to any firm or individual having a direct contract with the Contractor. No bid may be withdrawn for 60 days after date of opening of bids, and the Owner reserves the right to waive any and all informality on bidding and the right to reject any or all bids or any part thereof and to accept the bid or bids being most favorable to the Housing Authority of the County of Jersey after all bids have been examined and evaluated. All bidders are advised that the law concerning Federal prevailing wage rates issued by the U.S. Department of Labor under the Davis-Bacon and Related Acts must be complied with. Prevailing wage rates have been determined and are included within the Project Manual. Doc Notes: If any person contemplating submitting a bid for proposed contract is in doubt as to the true meaning of any part of the plans, specifications or other proposed contract documents, they may submit to the Architect a written request for the interpretation thereof. The Contractor shall not submit a request after 72 hours before bid opening. Any interpretation of the proposed documents will be made only by Addendum duly issued and a copy of such Addendum will be mailed or conveyed electronically to each person receiving a set of documents. The Architect will not be responsible for any other explanation of interpretation of the proposed documents. Bidding documents will be made available via electronic mail upon request from the A/E, Green Associates, Inc. Contact Susan Nordsiek at snordsiek@greenassociates.com to request a set. All Prime Contractors requesting Bid Documents sent to them, will be shipped via UPS Ground and the contractor shall remit a separate check (non-refundable) made payable to the A/E in the amount of $25.00 per set for shipping and handling. All bidders are advised that the law concerning Federal prevailing wage rates issued by the U.S. Department of Labor under the Davis-Bacon and Related Acts must be complied with. COST ESTIMATE: Under $333,000 There will be no Pre-Bid Meeting for this project.
