Site work and outdoor lighting for a civil project in Oak Brook, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for outdoor lighting for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
The work for which bids are to be received generally and briefly consists of providing all materials, equipment and services necessary for the construction, installation, and testing of a conventional duplex lift station with submersible type wastewater pumps installed in an existing wet well with new top slab, ductile iron discharge piping, fittings, check valves and plug valves installed in a precast concrete valve vault, connection to existing force-main, pump control panel and SCADA system, associated electrical distribution panels, portable generator plug and manual transfer switch, site light, electric. service installation, bypass pumping, demolition of existing lift station, and site/landscaping restoration. The bid deposit for a proposal shall be made for an amount not less than 10% of the bid amount, in the form of a certified check, a cashier's check, or a bid bond, made payable to the Flagg Creek Water Reclamation District. In addition to the signed and completed proposal and the bid deposit, Bidders must also submit a signed and completed Affidavit on the form included in the Contract documents. Failure to submit these materials may cause the bid to be rejected. The successful Bidder to whom the Contract will be awarded shall sign the Contract, furnish a Performance and Payment Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the TOTAL BID AMOUNT as indicated in the Proposal, and certificates of insurance along with any insurance policies required by the Contract Documents within ten (10) days from the date of the Notice of Award. The amount of the check or bond shall be forfeited to the District if the Bidder neglects or refuses to enter into a Contract or fails to furnish the appropriate Performance and Payment Bond and insurance after his bid has been accepted. Bids received from contractors who are not on the Bidder's Plan Holder List will be rejected. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids that are submitted, or to advertise for new bids. The District reserves the right to defer the acceptance of any bid and the execution of a Contract for a period not to exceed ninety (90) days after the date of opening the bids.
