Renovation of a laboratory facility in Burnaby, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a laboratory facility.
This is the Phase 2 solicitation following an Invitation to Qualify. Only qualified suppliers have been invited to bid. The CFIA has a requirement to retrofit a boiler. The work under this contract covers labour, equipment and materials required to complete construction of the Boiler Retrofit at CFIA Laboratories at 3155 Willingdon Green, Burnaby, B.C. V5G 4P2. General work to be performed: Demolition of existing boilers, pipes, insulations and other HVAC equipment in Boiler Room, including legal disposal of equipment and materials. Installation of new boiler system and associated components, pumps, piping insulation and updating the DDC control system. Complete commissioning and hand-over to the Departmental Representative. Training of the CFIA operation and maintenance personnel. Related work. The work for installation of new Air Sources Heat Pump (ASHP) system is not in contract, however, the contract may include work that will allow for future installation of this system. To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project is estimated to cost approximately between $500,001.00 and $1,000,000.00 (GST included).
