BID RELEASE 1 Gilbane Building Company, Construction Manager, for and acting on behalf of Oak Park and River Forest High School District 200 is receiving lump sum proposals from interested contractors for the Summer 2025 Capital Improvement work. The scope of work consists of both interior and exterior renovations to improve ADA accessibility and student learning environments while maintaining the integrity of the building's exterior envelope. Exterior work will focus on tuckpointing the existing masonry facade and repairing plaster soffits on the east elevation. Interior work will focus on renovations within the science department including one renovated science lab, a prep room, and a new space for hydroponics. Improvements to building circulation & accessibility at the core of the buildings 1st floor will also be a primary focus with the installation of a new wheelchair lift and modifications to the ramp/stairs in the center corridor to ensure ADA compliance. Throughout the space these improvement will include new ceilings, lighting, flooring, lockers, cabinetry, plumbing, electrical & mechanical components. Additional work includes the replacement of one (1) indoor air handling unit in the building's basement.
