Elmwood, Traverse City, Michigan 49684 The Department of Technology, Management and Budget (DTMB) is requesting professional architectural and engineering services for alterations at existing toilet rooms on floors 1-4 of the Traverse City State Office Building in downtown Traverse City. The building was constructed in the 1940's as a nursing dormitory building and is currently used to house state administrative offices. Bathing faculties are no longer in use, current toilet rooms do not meet accessibility standards and there has been a history of leaks and backups in the sanitary and plumbing systems. The study phase should include an evaluation of plumbing and sanitary piping, the number and location of toilet facilities, gender specific vs non-gender restroom analysis and recommendations, and potential phasing options for construction. The professional services contractor shall provide architectural and engineering services for both design and construction administration. The request is for services in Phase 100 Study, Phase 300 Schematic Design, Phase 400 Preliminary Design, Phase 500 Final Design, Phase 600 Construction Administration/ Office, and Phase 700 Construction Administration/ Field Inspection Services. The professional services shall be done in accordance with the State Construction Code (per 1972 PA 230), Michigan's Barrier Free Law (1966 PA 1), and the Occupational Code (per 1980 PA 299).
