SCOPE OF CONTRACT A. This project consists of the restoration of Joe's Valley Campground. The work is as follows: New construction of campground spurs. Demolition of existing campground sites, spurs, and roadway. a. Forest Service will mark site furnishings to salvage and deliver to the Orange Olsen Guard Station 0.4 miles from the Joe's Valley Campground. Bringing existing spurs up to current Forest Service Accessibility Standards. b. Contractor shall haul excess material to government gravel pit approximately 3 miles away from project site unless directed to dispose of on site by Contracting Officer. Double chip seal of all existing roadway and new construction. Installation of new regulatory signs, site identification sign, unit markers, bulletin boards, fee tube, curb stops, and barrier rocks. New line striping. Optional Bid Item #1: Fisherman Parking Area includes: c. Placement of new road base on existing aggregate area d. Double chip seal of entire parking area e. Placement of barrier rocks. Optional Bid Item #2: Hydrants includes. f. Installation of Host Site hydrant g. Installation of hydrants with no apron h. Installation of hydrants with double chip seal apron. Optional Bid Item #3: Miscellaneous Site Improvements includes: i. Installation of a major site I.D. Sign (HDPE) j. Placing crushed aggregate surfacing on existing pathways k. Installation of rockery retaining walls. Optional Bid Item #4: Campground Sites - Government Furnished includes: l. Installation of single and double family unit camp sites with all site furnishing, including: Picnic tables and utility tables furnished by the Government. Contractor shall furnish the fire rings. Optional Bid Item #5: Campground Sites - Contractor Furnished includes: m. Installation of single and double family unit camp sites with all site furnishings, including: Picnic tables, utility tables, and fire rings furnished by the contractor. B. The base project and the optional items are identified in the schedule of items. The drawings and specifications provide more definition of the work required under each work item. The project is located in the Ferron - Price Ranger District of the Manti - La Sal National Forest, Emery County, Utah. Joe's Valley Campground is approximately 17 miles south-west of Price, UT and the Fisherman's Parking Area is approximately 14 miles south west of Price, UT. Both sites border Joe's Valley Reservoir.
