Outline of Work: Work (as more thoroughly described in section 00310) generally includes but is not limited to the installation of sewer and drain manholes, catch basins, storm drain and sewer pipelines, general earthwork, riprap slope stabilization, pipeline point repairs, tree removal, roadway pavement repairs and the maintenance of traffic control. Question Deadline 12/11/2024 12PM. All questions shall be directed in writing ONLY to the Purchasing Office, being received by noon at least five business days prior to the bid opening date. Questions received after this time will not be addressed. They may be mailed, e-mailed to slchapin@portlandmaine.gov or faxed to 207-874-8652. Project Location: Various locations through out the City of Portland. See below for more specific locations. The successful bidder must submit Performance and Payment Bonds to the City prior to contract award. Detail information can be found in the General Conditions. The initial contract term will be for a period of one (1) year, commencing upon execution of the contract documents. The City of Portland reserves the right to modify the initial contract term at its discretion and add an additional 2 years to the contract if accepted by the Contractor. The City may decide to add additional neighborhood drainage and miscellaneous sewer repair work to this contract for up to 3 years from the original start date of the contract. Pricing for additional projects will be based on established unit rates within the original scope of work to the extent feasible. There will be no Prebid meeting for this project. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids should it be deemed for the best interest of the City to do so. The City reserves the right to substantiate any bidder's qualifications, capability to perform, availability, past performance record and to verify that bidders are current in their obligations to the City.
