Site work, paving and outdoor lighting for a civil project in Toronto, Ontario. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; water / sewer project; and for outdoor lighting for a road / highway.

TRCA completed an Environmental Assessment to create a system of connected public greenspaces along the Lake Ontario shoreline, from Bluffers Park to East Point Park in Scarborough. TRCA, in partnership with the City of Toronto, is taking a phased approach to deliver the overall project. The first phase of the overall Scarborough Waterfront Project is the construction of a multi-use trail for Brimley Road South to provide safe pedestrian access into Bluffers Park. Brimley Road South is the sole access route into Bluffers Park and provides access to the various yacht clubs, floating homes, beaches, and trails within. The road is used year-round with heavier traffic during the summer months and weekends. The existing road has grades that range from 2.7% to 7.4% in the flatter sections with 6% to 16% grade in the steeper sections. The road cross-sections vary from 3.3 to 3.5m paved lanes and 0.5 to 1.0m of paved shoulders, with paved ditches on each side of the road that drain to catch basins that outlet to an existing storm sewer on the east side of Brimley Road South. An existing storm sewer and watermain run under Brimley Road in a common trench, and a sanitary forcemain runs from Redland Crescent West down to Brimley Road where it continues to the south in the common trench. Replacement of the forcemain has been partially completed in a phased approach with the first section along Brimley Road being completed in 2022. The new forcemain runs within the southbound lane of Brimley Road from the pumping station located in Bluffers Park to approximately Redland Crescent West. There are several tall gabion basket retaining walls on the west side of the road that provide slope stabilization. The Brimley Road South road alignment is on the site of a former municipal landfill which was closed in 1968 with a vegetative cover. The Scope of Work will include, but is not necessarily limited to, the construction of a 3.6 to 5.4m wide paved multi-use trail, construction of block retaining walls, installation of catch basins and associated leads, streetlighting, and landscaping/restoration works. Question Deadline: Wed Apr 23, 2025 4:00:00 PM (EDT) Documents are available at https://trca.bidsandtenders.ca/
