Questions regarding bids should be directed to Michael Milstein, Purchasing Associate II, at Michael.Milstein@gwinnettcounty.com or by calling 770-822-7811 no later than 3:00 p.m. November 5, 2024. Bids are legal and binding upon the bidder when submitted. All bids should be submitted in duplicate. All contractors must submit with bid, a bid bond, certified check or cashier's check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid made payable to the Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners. Failure to submit a bid bond with the proper rating will result in the bid being deemed non-responsive. Successful supplier will be required to meet insurance requirements, submit a one hundred percent (100%) performance bond and a one hundred percent (100%) payment bond. Contract will begin on the issuance date of the Notice to Proceed and continue through December 31, 2025. However, for any order to pave and/or resurface any given roads, parking areas, etc., mailed or received, if forwarded by other means than through the mail to the Contractor on or before the Contract expiration date, the Contractor will be required to perform such resurfacing within a time agreed to by both parties and at the Contract unit prices. Failure to perform such work in the time agreed will result in Liquidated Damages of $1,000.00 per day until such work is completed.
