O'Keefe Street, Cassopolis, MI 520 Pearl Street, Cassopolis, M Demolition is funded through a grant from the state of Michigan using federal dollars. Some additional documentation is required as a result. Gas, electric, and water wrecking clearances and open hole photos must be provided to the LBA. The contractor must submit NESHAP 10-day notices for both abatement and demolition, separately. This includes residential properties. Abatement debris must go to a licensed Type II landfill. Demolition debris must go to a licensed Type I or Type II landfill or recycling center, as appropriate. Signed copies of landfill receipts/waste manifests for every load removed from the project site must be maintained daily and provided to the LBA. The contractor must provide copies of appropriate licenses for the abatement crew. A copy of the contractor residential builders license (or Maintenance and Alteration license with house wrecking classification) must also be provided for the demolition. Copies of subcontractor invoices must be provided to the LBA. Lien waivers must be provided to the LBA. Other information may be requested if required by the state for grant reimbursement.
