Site work for a civil project in Portage, Michigan. Working plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and water / sewer project.
Hurontown Ditch Maintenance Project The Charter Township of Portage will begin this ditch cleanout/culvert replacement maintenance project during the last week of October. Considering the increased runoff from upstream development, this needed cleanout will remove organic buildup, offending brush and small tree encroachment, deepen the ditch bottom and will replace/lower culverts for better water movement through this ditch system. These improvements will provide; greater ditch flow and capacity, improved drainage immediately adjacent to the ditch plus outlets for residential sump pumps and perimeter foundation drains. These improvements will require some brush and small tree removal to allow equipment access and subsequent spoil and debris removal during this approximately week long project.
